Russian drones strike Kharkiv

Tragedy struck Kharkiv and the surrounding region as Russian drones launched a series of attacks, resulting in one fatality and nine injuries, media reported on Saturday.

According to Oleh Syniehubov, the head of regional military authorities, among the arsenal employed by the Russian forces were Iranian drones Shahed 131 and 136, which took off from the Belgorod region, situated on the border with Ukraine.

Syniehubov reported that 13 unmanned combat aerial vehicles were neutralized by Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile units and mobile firing groups in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The aftermath revealed a private residence engulfed in flames and 15 other structures sustaining damage.

Tragically, an 82-year-old woman lost her life in the attack, while two men, aged 66 and 77, suffered injuries.

The violence escalated as fragments from downed drones damaged a two-story office building, a warehouse, and a car workshop. In Kharkiv, four individuals sustained injuries, while three others were wounded in Chuhuiv, which city Russian forces attacked with missiles.
